Three
Gorges Dam
The Three Gorges Dam is a strategic hydraulic engineering
for flood control, power generation and shipping in China.
The permanent navigation lock is a vitally important engineering
for construction of Three Gorges Dam with worldclass scale
and design head. Moreover, the underground conveyance system
is a key part for the permanent navigation lock. Ultimately
JM-PCA superplasticizer and JM-II set-retarding and water-reducing
admixture, manufactured by Bote company, was selected to be
applied in the system after rigorous experiments. JM-PCA features
outstanding water-reducing and reinforcing performance . Concrete
that uses JM-PCA has excellent placeability, less bleeding
rate, no slump loss and satisfying sthength and durability,
all of which assure the speed and quality of the construction
of underground conveyance system in the permanent navigation
lock.

The Hangzhou Bay Highway Bridge
The Hangzhou Bay Highway Bridge, one of the national
key project, which is 36 Killometers long and whose investment
is 12 billion yuan, is listed the first of the homogeneous
type in the world for its span and construction scale. Because
the bridge is under the ocean enviroment and designed lifetime
is as many as one hundred years. Therefore the high choloride
impermieability, volume stability, anti-cracking and low hydration
heat of concrete are required.. After a series of experiments
and comparison with other brand of admixtures, JM-PCA was
applied and met the techical requiremnet of the concrete in
the upper structure of the bridge. |
Nanjing
Xuanwu Lake Tunnel
Xuanwu Lake Tunnel is a vital part of in
road network in Nanjing and its consumption of concrete is
approximately 260,000 m3. After multidimensional testing,
our second-generation JM-VIII set-retading and water-reducing
admixture is picked out finally. JM-III features small dosage(only
6-8% of cement consumption), outstanding crack resistance,
high anti-seepage high water reducing performance, moderate
hardening time, good slump retention and placeability,etc.

Nanjing
Subway
Nanjing Subway is in the list of national
key infrastructure projects. JM-VIII set-retarding and water-reducing
admixture was used in Nanjing Subway in great quantities.
JM-VIII features outstanding placeability, strong adaptability
and good set-ratarding effects, with the water reducing rate
up to 22£¥ and almost no slump loss for 2h. Moreover, the compression
strength(28d) can increase by 40% compared with that of reference
concrete. |
