    Miao Changwen is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, and a renowned expert in construction materials. He currently serves as Chair of the International Joint Laboratory for Advanced Civil Engineering Materials,  and Chief Scientist of the National Key Laboratory of Materials for Major Infrastructure Engineering.

    He is a recipient of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation and the Fourth National Award for Outstanding Professional and Technical Personnel. He was also named one of the Top Ten Outstanding Patent Inventors of Jiangsu Province and is a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance.

    Professor Miao has devoted his career to fundamental research and engineering applications in civil engineering materials. His major contributions include key technologies for crack control in concrete, technologies for improving the durability and extending the service life of major infrastructure, and the research and development of multifunctional civil engineering materials. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field, he was awarded the RILEM Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Liu Jiaping is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Chief Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southeast University, and an expert in civil engineering materials. He serves as Chairman of the Academic Committee of Southeast University and Director of the National Key Laboratory of Materials for Major Infrastructure Engineering.

    He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National May 1st Labor Medal, and the Second National Outstanding Engineer Award, and is entitled to the State Council Special Allowance. He has been selected as a national-level candidate under the New Century National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a Leading Young and Middle-aged Scientific and Technological Talent, and selected as a Tier-I candidate under the Jiangsu Province 333 Talent Development Program.

    Professor Liu has devoted his career to in-depth research in two core areas: shrinkage cracking control and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). By incorporating the effects of concrete structures and construction practices, he has further developed the theoretical framework for shrinkage-induced cracking control in modern concrete and pioneered advanced technologies for UHPC.

    He established three key technology platforms covering shrinkage reduction and crack resistance, enhancement of mechanical properties, and rheological property regulation, and developed a series of functional materials. These technologies have been successfully implemented in more than 110 major engineering projects. His research has addressed major international challenges in shrinkage cracking control and has played a leading role in the engineering-scale application of ultra-high-performance concrete, making significant contributions to the advancement of civil engineering.
